Testing & Assessments FAQs
What tests will my child be required to take?
Students who attend Coast to Mountains Preparatory Academy (CM Prep) are required to take the following tests:
- K12 lesson assessments
- K12 unit assessments
- K12 end-of-course assessments
- Benchmark testing at the beginning, middle, and end of the year (Online)
- College course assessments and finals as required by dual enrollment for HS students when applicable
Will my child need to attend in-person testing?
No. All required assessments for CM Prep students are completed online. There are no in-person testing requirements.
Will my child have to participate in state testing?
No. Students at CM Prep are not required to participate in state-mandated testing in North or South Carolina. CM Prep students are required to participate in NWEA testing, which helps measure student growth and proficiency.
