South Carolina Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF)
The Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF), offered by the South Carolina Department of Education, gives eligible families access to $7,634 per student for the 2026–2027 school year. These funds can be used to build a flexible, personalized learning experience that fits your child’s needs.
South Carolina partners with ClassWallet to make managing your scholarship simple. Once your student is approved, you’ll receive access to a secure digital wallet where you can use funds to pay for approved educational expenses—no reimbursements needed.
Here’s how it works:
- The full scholarship amount is paid in quarterly installments.
- Payments begin in late July.
- You’ll receive a welcome email from ClassWallet with steps to access your account and helpful resources. (If you don’t see it, ClassWallet Customer Support can help.)
Providers that are approved by the South Carolina Department of Education, like CM Prep, can receive payments from families using ESTF funds.

3. Apply when applications open
Once you’re notified that applications are being accepted, submit your student’s application through the ESTF portal. Be sure to apply early to give your student the best chance at receiving funds.
4. Receive your award & next steps
